The duo of Miranda and Garner were honored at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Press Luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe.

Miranda has been a goal-scoring machine for the Dons all season long, and he continued to show off his offensive prowess last week.

In a 2-2 draw against Ventura, he netted one goal and registered an assist on the team’s other score. He then followed that up with an impressive four-goal game in a 4-0 victory over Rio Mesa.

As for Garner, she held opposing offenses in check all week long, as the team averaged just three goals allowed on the week.

In a 10-0 win over Ventura, she registered six saves and four assists. She followed that up with a dominant 12-save performance in a 12-1 victory against Long Beach Millikan.

The boys honorable mentions for the week were Micah Jacobi (San Marcos Basketball), Luke Zuffelato (Santa Barbara Basketball), Finn Whipps (Santa Barbara Basketball) and Jose Ramirez (San Marcos Soccer).

On the girls side, the honorable mentions were Justine Katz (Dos Pueblos Basketball), Jamaica Cook (Carpinteria Basketball), Maggie Gallup (Dos Pueblos Soccer), HanaLora Abel (Dos Pueblos Water Polo), Lucy Haaland-Ford (San Marcos Water Polo) and Lilli Nemetz (Carpinteria Water Polo).
