Over the week, Katers scored a team-best 37 points over six matches, helping the Cardinals take fifth place at the Surf City Invitational in Santa Cruz.

Early was a terror at the plate for opposing pitchers at the Camarillo Tournament on Saturday. In two games, she went 6 for 9 with two homers, two doubles, six RBIS and five runs scored.

She is batting .439 for the season and is the team leader in RBIs and home runs.

UCSB softball player Alexa Sams was the honorable mention choice for this week’s award.
