Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Celebrates Seven Inductees Into Hall of Fame

Individuals from the sports of water polo, volleyball, track & field, cross country and soccer, as well as sports officiating, community service and leadership, were represented in the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table’s Hall of Fame Induction Class of 2022 on Monday night.

In a ceremony held at the the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion, the SBART honored seven members who made a huge impact in this community and beyond.

Two of the inductees — Mike Warren and Mike Cano — were honored posthumously. 

Warren served as a Round Table board member. He is the former executive director at Elings Park, athletic director at SBCC and Lompoc High, football coach at Carpinteria High, Lompoc and UCSB, and a former standout football player at UCSB in the late 1960s.

He  was represented by his wife, Nancy.

Cano was a distinguished football referee and baseball and softball umpire. He also served as an associate athletic director at Bishop Diego, and coached several sports at the school.

The other five inductees (with their sport and school) are: Kiley Neushul (water polo, Dos Pueblos High), Heather Hafner (volleyball, Bishop Diego), Bill Schabram (track and cross country, San Marcos), Noah Bryant (track & field and football, Carpinteria) and Kelly White (soccer, San Marcos).
