Wilson hurled a 1-0 shutout against Lompoc in key Channel League game. She came up big in sixth inning,  pitching out of a bases-loaded situation to keep the Chargers in the lead.

In a 14-2 league victory over Santa Ynez, Wilson collected two hits and drove in five runs, and combined with Bella Nuno to hold Santa Ynez to four hits.

Flanagin won a dramatic triple jump competition at the Don Green Invitational in Moorpark. He posted a lifetime-best 42-11 on his final jump to overtake jumpers from Buena and San Marcos.

Flanagin also took second in the long jump (20-9) and was the lead runner on the Dons’ third-place 4×400 relay team.

In a dual meet against Carpinteria earlier in the week, he won four events.

The honorable mention choices for this week’s award include Gigi Gritt (San Marcos softball), Alex Rottman (Santa Babara High volleyball), Darren Orlando (San Marcos baseball) and Leo Metzger (San Marcos golf).
