Soccer fever prevails at Fall Classic

With the NCAA College Cup coming to town in December and the memories of a captivating World Cup in South Africa still fresh in people’s minds, it was appropriate for the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table to invite UCSB Men’s Soccer coach Tim Vom Steeg and current Chivas USA goal keeper Dan Kennedy to speak at the Carriage Museum on Thursday evening at the annual Fall Classic.

Dr. Marcus Elliott, of P3 fame, also spoke, discussing the value and importance of sports injury prevention.

Many of the South Coast’s high school soccer players and coaches attended, as did many of the city’s most influential sports figures.
