David Pintard has been actively involved in multiple community activities, having served on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table, Santa Barbara Pony Baseball, Work Inc., Page Youth Sports Center, Rotary International (Santa Barbara North affiliation), Santa Barbara Visiting Nurses Association, SBCC Athletic Associates, Las Positas Park Foundation, and the YMCA. In addition, he was co-Chair of the “Tom Rogers Month,” served as Chair the YMCA Current Support Campaign, which reached new fund-raising records for that organization under his leadership, co-Chaired the Santa Barbara Zoofari (Santa Barbara Zoo) and served as chairman of the S.B.H.S. Football Booster Club.
Currently, Dave is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Athletic Roundtable, and the Santa Barbara Foresters Semipro Baseball Organization. He chairs the “Hugs for Cubs” program, which is the Foresters’ ongoing “buddy” program for children battling cancer that was created in 1995 through the inspiration of his nephew Eric Pintard. In addition, Dave is an assistant varsity baseball coach at Bishop Diego High School.
Mr. Pintard has been recognized for his commitment and significant service to youth in the Santa Barbara community as the recipient of Rotary International’s “Paul Harris Fellow” award (1989), the YMCA’s “Dr. Paul Veazey Memorial” award (1989), the S.B. Athletic Round Table’s “R. F. MacFarland Memorial Trophy” (1995), the Santa Barbara Associationof Realtors’ “Affiliate of the Year” award (1995), and U.C.S.B. Men’s Basketball “Sixth Man” award.
Dave has been a Santa Barbara resident since 1979 after studying economics at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and has two children, Bryson, a freshman at Cal Lutheran University and Erika, a freshman at Santa Barbara High School.
