Dos Pueblos swimmer Nikko Carrillo and Bella Nuño of the Chargers’ softball team were honored as the Athletes of the Week at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Press Luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe.
Nuño had a monster two days at the Best of the West Tournament in Santa Maria. In three games, she went 8-for-12 at the plate and belted four home runs, including three in one game and an inside-the-park round tripper. She also had two doubles and six RBIs.
