Track standout Nathaniel Getachew and lacrosse scoring whiz Olivia Geyling of Dos Pueblos were honored as the Athletes of the Week at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe on Monday.
Geyling’s consistent goal scoring led the Dos Pueblos girls lacrosse team to an undefeated Channel League championship campaign and a berth in the playoffs.
In two overtime wins last week, the junior scored four goals against Thacher and three against San Marcos. She went over the 100-goal mark in her two-year career with the Chargers.
