Addi Zerrenner kept her cross country unbeaten streak going at home and Cheroke Cunningham sparked an incredible football comeback.
Those performances earned the two seniors the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Athlete of the Week honors.
Zerrenner will finish her Dos Pueblos cross country career undefeated on the Chargers’ home course. She won Channel League Meet No. 1 last Wednesday with a time of 17:56.28.
Cunningham scored four of his five touchdowns in the second half to lead Santa Barbara to a wild 48-35 football win over Rio Mesa at Peabody Stadium. He rushed for 153 yards on 11 carries and three scores and caught five passes for 70 yards and two TDs.
The male honorable mention choices were Ian Craddock (Carpinteria football), Quentin Tedesco (Laguna Blanca football), Cole Smith (Dos Pueblos cross country), Jarred Evans (SBCC football).
The female honorable mention picks were Natalie McClure (Dos Pueblos cross country), Anika Wilson (San Marcos volleyball), Beth Ritter (UCSB soccer) and Charlotte Monke (Cate cross country).
