Bishop Diego’s Caleb Richey and Dos Pueblos’ Ady Willett were recognized as Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Athletes of the Week at Monday’s press luncheon.
Richey scored 25 or more points in three games last week, including a rivalry win over Carpinteria and a key Tri-Valley League victory over St. Bonaventure.
“He’s a leader by example,” said Cardinals assistant coach Patrick Davis. “He never takes a day off, works extremely hard.”
Willett scored both goals in Dos Pueblos’ important 2-1 Channel League win over Santa Barbara. Willett and the Chargers were able to hand the Dons their first league loss. Willett, a sophomore, has 15 goals on the season.
