Carpinteria senior Erin Saito was recognized as the Warriors’ Scholar-Athlete of the Year at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon.
Saito is a three-sport athlete who carries a 4.36 GPA with a heavy AP course load.
Saito hopes to attend UCLA next year, where older brother Nathan is a student. Nathan also won the Carpinteria Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
The senior is a captain on the tennis, basketball and softball teams. She just recently helped lead the Warriors’ tennis team to its second straight Frontier League championship.
“All the qualities that she brings to the table really have an impact on many people,” said Warriors Athletic Director Pat Cooney.
