ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Elias Munoz, of the Bishop Diego boys basketball, was named the boys Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Cardinals’ CIF quarterfinal win over Archer. He scored a game-high 21 points and made the game-winning shot in the second overtime.
Kiley Neushul of Dos Pueblos girls water polo, is the girls winner. She stepped up in the CIF Division 1 championship game, pouring in nine goals on a variety of shots to lead the Chargers to 16-10 win over Foothill for their fourth straight title, (third in Division 1), second straight undefeated season and 67th win in a row since 2009. She also assisted on the sudden-victory goal by Tiera Schroeder in a semifinal win over Laguna Beach.
