Charlene DeHoog, UCSB women’s volleyball: Led the Gauchos to a 2-1 record at the Lobo Comcast Challenge in New Mexico with three straight double-doubles. The senior from Bakersfield posted totals of 51 kills and 40 digs in three matches. DeHoog notched a career high with 16 digs in a win over Sacramento State.
John Uribe, SBCC football: The sophomore quarterback led the Vaqueros to a 30-14 road victory at Antelope Valley on Saturday, completing 19-of-29 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns.
