Male Athlete of the Week Eduardo Cortez had a monster game for the Dos Pueblos girls soccer team in its second-round playoff win against Valley View, scoring all four of the Chargers’ goals in their 4-1 victory.
Female Athlete of the Week Jamie Neushul scored the equalizer and go-ahead goals for the Dos Pueblos water polo team in it’s amazing comeback win over Newport Harbor, giving the Chargers their third consecutive CIF title. The freshman scored the game-winner with 1:57 remaining. DP was down 7-2 just before the half but won 8-7.
